Sydney Hall

Sydney Hall is the first student housing development of Doran Companies in Dinkytown. It’s a six-story building situated at 1501 University Ave. SE and consists of 125 housing units on the top five floors, along with street-level commercial space. The project also involved the renovation of the Dinkydome that is attached to it. Sydney Hall is located in the heart of Dinkytown and the University of Minnesota’s East Bank Campus. This project covers an expansive area of 200,731 square feet and includes a clubhouse, study room, a 24-hour gym, and a dinky dome lounge. Doran Companies developed and constructed the project, and it was finished in 2010.

Since its completion in 2010, the project has won several awards, including the Minnesota Shopping Center Association’s Best Mixed-Use project, Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal Best in Real Estate Award, and the University of Minnesota MN Daily Newspaper Grapevine Award for Best Apartment Complex.
