Wangstad Commons

Doran Construction has been selected as the General Contractor for Wangstad Commons, JO Company’s second affordable housing project. The project aims to provide 54 affordable and supportive housing units to the City of Brooklyn Center at 61st Avenue & Brooklyn Blvd. Wangstad Commons will offer one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom units for households with 30%, 50%, and 60% area median income. It will be an amenity-rich development located adjacent to Wangstad Park. Every unit will have a washer, dryer, and balcony, and residents will have access to a fitness center, community room, and below-grade and surface parking. Wangstad Commons will also adhere to SB 2030, conveniently located minutes from a commercial corridor with national retailers and food chains. The project is expected to open in late 2024.
