BLOOMINGTON (September 19, 2024) —
Doran Companies ranks #4 on the list of Largest Women-owned Businesses in the Twin Cities in 2024 by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The rankings are based on 2023 revenue. To be eligible for this list, business owners must include women who own 50% or more of their companies. Companies must be based in the Twin Cities 24-county metro area.
In February 2020, Doran announced it had received its official certification as a woman-owned business, approximately six months after Anne Behrendt purchased a majority share of Doran’s operating companies from the founder and assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer and Principal. The entity providing the certification is the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled and operated by women in the United States.
