Doran Cos. has broken ground on what it says is the first multifamily residential development in the history of the west metro suburb of Tonka Bay.
The 86-unit project is expected to cost $30 million. The project was announced by Doran RE Partners, which is a trio of Doran Cos. executives who put together funding for their own deals.
“We are thrilled to break ground in this incredible community of Tonka Bay,” Doran Cos. CEO and Doran RE partner Anne Behrendt in a statement. “We understand the community here and are excited to contribute to its vitality while preserving its historic charm.”
The development, located at 5609 Manitou Road, will include two buildings with two-story town homes and apartment units ranging in size from one bedroom to three bedrooms. Amenities include a pub, coffee bar, heated garage, fitness center, business center, dog run and pet spa, entertainment suite and outdoor lounge areas with fire pits and grill stations.
