Doran Receives Awards of Merit at 2020 MCA’s Awards of Excellence
BLOOMINGTON (January 24, 2020) —
Doran took home two Awards of Merit at the 2020 Minnesota Construction Association’s Awards of Excellence for the following projects:
Renovation, Expansion or Tenant Improvement: Milwaukee Road Depot
New Project Over $15 Million: Aria Dina
Doran Special Projects (DSP), in partnership with CSM, transformed the train shed at the Milwaukee Road Depot into a state-of-the-art event space. DSP was brought on as the general contractor for the final phase of the 24,000-square-foot transformation of the shed into a new venue space to meet the rapidly growing demand for event space in Minneapolis. The area is comprised of four unique breakout rooms, a Great Northern Ballroom with a 40+ foot ceiling for events of up to 600 people, The Conservatory and an outdoor covered space.
Aria is a luxury apartment community in the heart of Edina’s exclusive shopping and entertainment district. The 308,905 square foot community with 184 units offers alcoves, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes, and two-bedroom, two-story direct-entry townhomes. Each unit is spacious and inviting, complete with private terraces or balconies.
The Minnesota Construction Association honors its members each year for outstanding recently completed construction projects. The awards are presented at the Annual MCA Awards of Excellence Gala at the Minneapolis Marriott West. Congratulations to all of the award recipients!
