Mark Kunkel is the Senior Managing Director of Capital Markets at Doran Companies, responsible for capitalizing new developments and acquisitions with joint-venture equity, high net worth and other institutional equity as needed. He has 25 years of experience raising and investing debt and equity capital across all property types, specializing in multifamily, industrial and office assets.

Before joining Doran, Mark was SVP/ Managing Director at Northmarq, where he played a key role in developing and launching a fund management business from inception. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director with CarVal Investors, a $14 billion global fund manager grown out of Cargill, Inc.

Mark is the Founder and Co-Chair of the ULI Capital Markets Council in Minnesota and has been a ULI National IOPC Council member since 2014. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S.B. in Finance from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, he holds a CFA Charterholder and CPA designation.
