The Laker Named Top Project of 2023 by Finance & Commerce

The Laker was selected as an honoree at the Top Projects Awards of 2023 hosted by Finance & Commerce!
The construction industry continued to experience its fair share of challenges in 2023. From persistent inflation to higher interest rates and labor shortages, developers have had to be flexible and steadfast to get projects from the proposal stage to completion. When selecting the projects, the panel of judges looked at the degree of difficulty, creativity in design, innovative construction techniques, cooperation among contractors and management, and sustainability efforts.
The Laker is a 209-unit multifamily project in the Minneapolis Northeast Arts District, offering studios, alcoves, and one to three-bedroom layouts. Doran developed, designed and constructed the building, with over 222,000 square feet of beautifully designed indoor and outdoor amenities and sleek and stylish living spaces that combine the best elements of modern architecture and high-caliber design.
