New multifamily development will bring 228 apartment homes to the Uptown area
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (June 12, 2026) – Doran Companies and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey broke ground on Wednesday on the new Seven Points multifamily development that will bring 228 apartment homes to a core intersection in Uptown, Minneapolis. The project represents the next chapter for the iconic site, bringing new housing to the heart of Uptown.
The five-story, 184,000-square-foot community will include a mix of studio, alcove, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom residences, along with a robust amenity package designed around wellness, connection, convenience, and neighborhood living.

The project is being developed by Doran and North Pond, with construction led by Doran and future property management by Whitecap Management. Completion is anticipated for Fall 2027.
The buildings’ community amenities will include bike storage for 120 bikes, an adjacent parking structure, fitness center, movie room, sauna and cold plunge, music record room, coworking space, outdoor deck, and pet run.
