BLOOMINGTON (September 20, 2024) —
Doran and Whitecap team members gathered with industry peers to celebrate the Minnesota Multi Housing Association (MHA) 2024 MADACS Awards. As a proud Signature Sponsor of the event, Doran was thrilled to have finalists in ten categories during the September 20th ceremony. The MADACS Awards is Minnesota’s premier multifamily industry event, recognizing individuals, teams, and properties that have made exceptional contributions to the multifamily industry.
The Laker took home the Property Excellence award for Best New Development, Market Rate. Constructed in 2023, The Laker is a 209-unit multifamily project in the Minneapolis Northeast Arts District, offering studios, alcoves, and one to three-bedroom layouts. Doran developed, designed and constructed the building, with over 222,000 square feet of beautifully designed indoor and outdoor amenities and sleek and stylish living spaces that combine the best elements of modern architecture and high-caliber design.
Jessica Staples, Whitecap Leasing Consultant at The Laker, was awarded for Leasing Consultant: Lease-Up in the Site Staff category. Her dedication and hard work played a pivotal role in helping The Laker achieve 95% occupancy in just under nine months.
